Andrew is a self-taught artist and
has been painting full time since
leaving Sherborne School in 1978.
Whilst still at school he was
personally encouraged by the
late Sir Peter Scott and went on
to hold his first solo exhibition
aged 21 at the Malcolm Innes
Gallery in London. He has
subsequently exhibited with
several prominent London
galleries including the Tryon
Gallery, Mall Galleries and Frost
& Reed.
As an artist Andrew has been
invited to work in many corners
of the world, including the
Corbett National Park in India,
Antarctica with the Royal Navy
and Ulusaba, a private game
reserve in South Africa. On each
occasion he has captured the
wildlife and landscapes resulting
in successful London exhibitions.
In the autumn of 2023, Andrew
had his first book published.THE
CALL OF THE RUNNING TIDE is
a collection of his paintings with
the accompanying text revealing
his trials and tribulations over the
last forty years.

Last year, as well as his own show,
Margins, in London in November,
Andrew exhibited with the Royal
Society of Painter-printmakers
(RE), the Royal Society of Marine
Artists and, for the forty-fifth
consecutive year, the Society of
Wildlife Artists (SWLA).
Andrew is a past president of the
SWLA and a Fellow of the RE.
